Administrative Asst. (Equipment Dept.)US-IN-Evansville

Summary:

Duties include: data entry, record keeping, timekeeping, equipment file maintenance, quotations, typing, filing, fielding telephone calls, visitor screening, e-mailing, and faxing. Efficient use of MS Office, accounting software, other software and internet resources required. (Accounting software training provided as needed)

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain company vehicle and equipment records
  • Develop and maintain various shipping and logistics records
  • Maintain and record various employee records such as work schedules, time-off, and sick leave records
  • Report and coordinate employee records with the Human Resources and Payroll Departments
  • Develop and maintain expense reports and coordinate with the Accounting Dept.
  • Develop and maintain varous meeting records, equipment quotes, etc.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to benefit overall operation of the company

Qualifications:

  • Efficient use of Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Experience in an Administrative or Management Support role, 2 to 3 years minimum
  • Efficient use of standard office equipment
  • Accounting software experience with ability to train and learn other proprietary programs
  • Experience with J.D. Edwards is a plus
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Good organizational skills and ability to be detail oriented
  • Good people and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Accurate typing and data entry skills. Minimum rate of 50 wpm is desired.
  • Background in equipment service operations is a plus
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of department, payroll, and human resources information

Tunnel SuperintendentCAN-BC-Campbell River

Summary:

(6 positions available) This is a project-based placement for 3-4 years duration at the Campbell River Hydroelectric Facility reconstruction project. Salary is $2300/weekly.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee operational portion of project
  • Establish methods to meet work schedule
  • Coordinate and oversee shift work
  • Supervise heavy equipment operators
  • Train employees

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years of applied tunneling experience as a Superintendent, Walker, Shifter, Engineer, or Inspector in Drill & Blast tunneling operations including: drill jumbos, scoop tram, and mining truck equipment.
  • No formal education requirements

Asst. Construction Manager (Work Process Controls)CAN-BC-Campbell River

Summary:

This position works directly with the Construction Manager to assist with on-site operational planning and execution of opening on an underground civil project. This is a full-time, project-based placement for 3-4 years duration at the Campbell River Hydroelectric Facility reconstruction project. Salary is $2500/weekly.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Standard Operational Procedures and Construction Work Plans (with Job Hazard Analysis)
  • Train and supervise seven (7) crews working simultaneously on four (4) headings to ensure consistency of work procedures and safety plans
  • Task train key work positions on equipment, operations, and maintenance

Qualifications:

  • No formal education requirements
  • Minimum 15 years of operations and equipment experience
  • Minimum 10 years relevant supervisory, training, or management positions with the following:

Operations:

  • Drill & Blast Tunneling (mechanized and hand-held) including deep knowledge of ground support
  • Shaft Sinking and Raise Development (conventional, blind, timbered, VCR, alimak, raisebore)
  • Mass underground excavation including caverns

Equipment:

  • Longhole Drilling
  • Jumbos (pneumatic to state of the art computerized, including jacklegs, sinkers, and stoppers)
  • LHD's (1yd to +10yd)
  • Bolting (friction, mechanical, cement/grout, cable bolts)
  • Underground haulage trucks (20-50mt)
  • Shotcrete & Concrete Placement (transmixers, agitators, wet mechanized sprayers, dry hand held sprayers)
  • Explosives manipulation & charging (ANFO, bulk emulsion, pre-package powder, detonators, (Nonel), etc)
  • Utilities (sumps, pumping, ventilation, piping, high lift work, and scaling)

Summary:

The Mechanical Engineer handles engineering projects from start to finish assigned by the department manager. The position requires the ability to work with little supervision on multiple projects in a team environment. The Mechanical Engineer directs the work of designers as it relates to project completion. Most projects have mechanical, electrical, and structural components therefore cross-disciplinary communication is essential. Much of the technical work is completed by the Mechanical Engineer.

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshooting various mechanical systems

Qualifications:

  • Ability to become a licensed, Professional Engineer (PE)
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher from an ABET-accredited institution

Summary:

The Mechanical Engineer handles engineering projects from start to finish assigned by the department manager. The position requires the ability to work with little supervision on multiple projects in a team environment. The Mechanical Engineer must discretize engineering projects into identifiable tasks and rank them according to priority. The Mechanical Engineer may direct the work of other staff engineers and designers as it relates to project completion. Most projects have mechanical, electrical, and structural components therefore cross-disciplinary communication is essential. Much of the technical work is completed by the Mechanical Engineer.

Summary:

Field Engineer reports directly to the Project Superintendent. With assistance from the corporate Engineering and Mining Departments, the Field Engineer is responsible for all onsite engineering services required to construct underground structures such as shafts, tunnels, slopes, etc. These responsibilites include:

Responsibilities

  • Quality Control-Ensuring that construction work complies with both project specifications and company standards
  • Document Control-Prepare and distribute all required documentation records including various cost, schedule, and production reports
  • Moderate surveying to establish control for excavation and construction
  • Prepare drawings and sketches to support construction work, as-built records, change orders, estimates, etc.
  • Field Reporting-Accurately complete daily, weekly, and monthly reporting requirements
  • Safety-Comply and promote the company safety policies to ensure a safe workplace while also observing MSHA Federal and State standards

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Civil, Mining, Structural Engineering, or Construction Management
  • A minimum of 1-3 years of construction experience is preferred
  • Familiar with the use of surveying instruments; total station, rotation laser, etc.
  • Ability to apply basic engineering principles to solve construction engineering issues
  • Must be able to work underground in a challenging environment with exposure to heights
