RAISE BORING

What is Raise Boring?

Raise Boring is a method of shaft excavation, inclined or vertical, where the Raise Bore Machine drills a pilot hole into an existing mine and then reams a larger diameter shaft from the lower level to either the surface or another underground level eliminating the need for explosives.
